Every December, SFBC in partnership with BSO, treat children from all across Broward County to this special event with the Sheriff with gifts for their friends and families.

SFBC provides humanitarian assistance to the families and loved ones at the time of death of a deputy or fire-rescue officer and to help the families with funeral arrangements if necessary.

Communications Operator III Nikima Thompson, sadly lost her brave battle with COVID-19 on May 4. Nikima was a dedicated 16-year veteran of BSO and the first Communications Operator to die in the line of duty in Florida. 100% of your donations are for benefit of her children's education.

The Broward Mental Health Summit, Presented by the Sheriff’s Foundation of Broward County, Memorial Healthcare System, and Ultimate Software, brings together the leading mental health providers in South Florida from county, state and federal government, private practice, non-profits, and academia to discuss and examine the current issues relating to mental health in Broward County.
On November 16, 2019 enthusiasts of exotic cars will be treated to breakfast at Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale and drive their vehicles to an exclusive demonstration of BSO SWAT's equipment.
The Sheriff's Foundation of Broward has created the Deputy Benjamin Nimtz Memorial Fund to support the education of his two surviving children. 100% of donated proceeds go to support the education of his children without fund management or maintenance fees.
