The World Rescue Organisation (WRO)
The Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue Advanced Life Support (ALS) Team was selected as one of only three U.S. teams to compete in the 2025 World Rescue Challenge in Karlovac, Croatia, with the team being sponsored by the Sheriff’s Foundation of Broward County.
The World Rescue Organisation (WRO) improves global rescue and trauma care by sharing expertise, promoting rescue challenges, and fostering collaboration. Through these efforts, WRO equips teams worldwide to save lives safely and effectively.
This distinction followed their second-place finish at the Panther Challenge EMS Invitational.
